Team

K1 is a values-driven firm and has built a culture based on passion, persistence, humility and excellence. The Principals have complementary skills, extensive industry experience and, on average, have been working together for over a decade. The team is divided into functional specialists across: sourcing, execution, diligence, reporting, and operations. K1 has built dedicated teams focused on these activities to allow each Principal and team member to focus on his or her strengths and contribute to the investment process within his or her area of expertise.

*Members of K1 Operations assist K1 in operational due diligence and other transactional support for prospective investments and in K1’s post-closing operational initiatives, including sales, marketing, finance, technology, human capital, acquisition integration, and other consulting services. K1 Operations members are employees of K1 Operations, LLC, an exclusive consulting firm affiliated with K1 Investment Management, LLC, and are not employees of K1 Investment Management, LLC.

Kai Albrecht

Kai Albrecht

Kai is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. He also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Kai worked for GFSI in their financial planning & analysis group. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received a B.A. in Economics. While at USC he was involved in Trojan Investing Society and the USC Economics Association.

Kai has volunteered with The Ability Experience and Washington Trails Association.

Hasan Askari

Hasan Askari

Hasan Askari is a Managing Partner at K1 Investment Management. He is responsible for sourcing new investments and is an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies and advisor to K1’s management teams.

Previously Mr. Askari worked in the growth equity practice at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors where he focused on growth equity and buyout investments. Mr. Askari also previously worked at Pathway Capital Management where he focused on monitoring and analyzing private equity fund investments. Mr. Askari started his career in the client coverage group of Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Askari is a graduate of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he received a BS in Business Administration.

Mr. Askari serves on the Board of Directors of UgandaProject, a grassroots non-profit focused on supporting orphans in Uganda. He is also a member of the Advisory Council of Invisible Children, a non-profit focused on ending the LRA conflict in Africa. Previously, he was a member of the Board of Governors for the University of Southern California’s Alumni Association.

Brian Beard

Brian Beard

Brian is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Brian also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Brian worked at Robert Half International in their Finance & Accounting division and has experience working for software startups. Brian graduated with a double degree in English and Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara where he graduated with honors and participated in their honors research internship program. Brian is currently receiving his MBA at Arizona State University.

Brian volunteers at NorCal Golden Retriever Rescue and Relay for Life sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

Taylor Beaupain

Taylor Beaupain

Taylor Beaupain is a Managing Partner at K1 Investment Management. He is responsible for legal execution and financing of investments and is an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies and advisor to K1’s management teams.

Previously Mr. Beaupain was a partner in the growth equity practice at Kayne Anderson where he managed growth equity and buyout investments. Mr. Beaupain started his career in the financial sponsors investment banking group of Merrill Lynch where he advised global private equity firms on mergers, acquisitions and financings.

Mr. Beaupain is a graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he received an MBA and was a Dean’s Scholar, and of Washington and Lee University, where he received a BS in Business Administration, summa cum laude.

Mr. Beaupain has served as a director of numerous companies and serves on the board of the UCLA Anderson Fink Center for Finance & Investments.

Hagop Boyaci

Hagop Boyaci

Hagop is responsible for deal structuring, negotiation, financing, legal due diligence and execution of growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software companies. He also provides ongoing support to K1’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining K1, Hagop worked as a management consultant where he developed, implemented, and managed operational initatives for senior management in the financial services industry.

Hagop received his J.D. from the University of California Irvine, School of Law and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Hagop is licensed to practice law in California.

Hagop volunteers with the Volunteers of America in their Upward Bound program, which provides career counseling to first generation immigrant children. Hagop has also volunteered with the Mississippi Center for Justice to provide legal representation to indigent clients displaced due to Hurricane Katrina.

Katy Brown

Katy Brown

Katy is a Senior Analyst on the Sourcing Team. She is responsible for K1’s marketing efforts for sourcing new investments.

Previously, Katy worked at Netflix, AMC, and Showtime. She is a graduate of UCLA where she received a B.A. in Global Studies and a B.A. in Environmental Studies.

Katy is an active volunteer at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital and Little Company of Mary in Torrance, and an active participant in Tour de Pier that raises money for cancer research.

Jeffrey Bumb

Jeffrey Bumb

Jeff is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Jeff also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Jeff worked at Salesforce as an Account Executive and a Service Cloud Product Expert. He began his career at start up, Heywire, helping to lead a sales team that pioneered two-way SMS messaging for customer service.

Jeff received his B.A. in Political Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University where he was a team member of the Division 1 Syracuse Men’s Soccer Team. Recently, Jeff has also become a brother and mentor as part of the Los Angeles Big Brother Big Sisters of America organization.

Blaise Connor

Blaise is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. He also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Blaise worked at ZestAI, a FinTech startup, before joining PatientPop in their business development department. He received his BA in Business and Economics, first class honors, from Trinity College Dublin followed by an MSc. in Finance from Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Blaise has been involved with the Blackrock College Outreach Program for a number of years, helping to build schools and alleviate poverty in the Machakos region of Kenya.

Ronald E. Cano II

Ronald E. Cano II

Ron Cano is a Managing Partner at K1 Investment Management. He leads diligence for new investments and is an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies and advisor to K1’s management teams.
Previously, Mr. Cano worked at Vista Equity Partners and Clearlake Capital where he focused on buyout investments of software companies. Mr. Cano also previously worked in the Global Strategy and Acquisitions group at Thomson SA where he managed minority and control investments, in addition to assisting the management teams on various operational initiatives. Mr. Cano started his career in the technology, media, and telecom group at Bear Stearns.

Mr. Cano is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he received an MBA, and of Georgetown University, where he received a BS in Business Administration, cum laude.

Mr. Cano has served as a director of numerous companies and is actively involved with the Robert Toigo Foundation, of which he is an alumnus.

Katie Conlan

Katie is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. She focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Katie also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Katie worked for Morgan Stanley in the Sales & Trading division. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, with minors in International Relations and Business Finance.

While at USC, she participated in the Girls Who Invest Digital Learning Program, was on the Research Board of Smart Women Securities, the Executive Board of STAND: Anti-Genocide Coalition, and was a member of Trojan Investing Society, Phi Beta Kappa, and Student Government. She has volunteered for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, campaigned for DoSomething.org, mentored middle schoolers on creative writing, and organized a disaster relief community fundraiser for the American Red Cross.

Tina Dimitrova

Tina Dimitrova

Tina is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. She focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Tina also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Tina worked for SURVIVR (Techstars ’20) – a VR startup for law enforcement training, Teacher Retirement System of Texas and Goldman Sachs. She received her B.S. in Finance, magna cum laude, with a Minor in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas, where she was a Texas Business Hall of Fame scholar. While at UTD, Tina was President of the Financial Leadership Association, an Associate for the UT Dallas Seed Fund, and Treasurer for Kappa Alpha Theta.

Andrew Doane

Andrew Doane

Andrew is an Associate on K1’s Execution Team. His responsibilities include raising debt capital, managing relationships with financing providers, as well as supporting current portfolio companies.

Previously, Andrew worked at PNC bank in its Technology Finance Group. Andrew received his B.A. in Finance and Minor in Economics from Michigan State University.

Heather Engel

Heather Engel

Heather Engel is a Senior Associate at K1 Investment Management. She is responsible for fundraising and investor relations as well as sourcing and evaluating new investments.

Previously, Heather worked in the Private Fund Group at Credit Suisse, where she provided private placement and advisory services to a range of alternative investment firms.

Heather received her B.S. in Business Administration and B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication, summa cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Elias Etaat

Elias Etaat

Elias is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Elias also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Elias worked at Portolan Capital Management in the Analyst division. Elias received his B.S. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Finance, Cum Laude, from Boston University, where he founded the Boston University Sports Consulting Group.
Elias has been involved with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Boston School District.

Dustin Fowler

Dustin Fowler

Dustin is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Dustin also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Dustin interned at Johnsen, Fretty & Co, Square 1 Bank, and Cleargate Capital. Dustin received his B.S. in Business with a concentration in Finance from the University of Connecticut, where he was a portfolio manager of the Student Managed Fund.

He spent a semester abroad at the University of Edinburgh where he was also a member of the Edinburgh University Trading & Investment Club.

Christian Grant

Previously, Christian worked at Colony Capital, a real estate and investment management firm, SinoLatin Capital, and UBS. Christian received his BS in Business Administration, cum laude, from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he was involved in various groups within the Lloyd Grief Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.

Christian has been involved with fundraising activities for the Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles.

Kellen Haines

Kellen Haines

Kellen helps lead K1’s business development team and is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Kellen also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Kellen worked at Utility Consulting Group, Northrop Grumman and Merrill Lynch. Kellen received his BS in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he was involved with student government and pro-bono consulting for non-profit organizations in the LA area.

Kellen currently volunteers at Habitat for Humanity and Life Rolls On, a non-profit supporting paralyzed athletes.

Kyle Hutchinson

Previously, Kyle worked at Franklin Templeton Investments in their asset allocation group and began his career at J.P. Morgan Securities. Kyle received his BS in Business Administration, cum laude, from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Kyle has been involved with The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank for over a decade as both a volunteer and a food drive coordinator.

Tarun Jain

Previously, Will worked for Duff & Phelps and Citigroup. Will received his B.S. in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, from Boston University, with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics. Will completed various community service initiatives with the Questrom Honors Program and served as President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Matt Jones

Matt Jones

Matt Jones is the Director of Finance at K1 Investment Management. He is responsible for investor relations, external financial reporting, and he serves as the firms Chief Compliance Officer.

Previously, Matt worked at Holthouse Carlin & Can Trigt LLP, a CPA firm offering tax, audit and business management services to companies and individuals in the Los Angeles area. Most recently he worked at Aspiriant, an independent family office and wealth management firm serving clients throughout the United States.

Matt is a graduate of Sonoma State University where he received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. While at Sonoma State he was the captain of the intercollegiate men’s golf team. Matt is a California Certified Public Accountant.

Reyhan Kader

Previously, Reyhan worked for Barclays in their Consumer and Retail M&A investment banking division. Reyhan received his B.S. in Applied Economics & Management, Cum Laude, with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. Reyhan was actively involved on campus, where he was President of his student investment club, Apex Capital Fund, and a TA for Finance and Accounting for two years.

Reyhan volunteered as a mentor through CU Mentors, which aimed to help underprivileged kids in the Ithaca community.

Jessica Lesesky

Jessica Lesesky

Jessica is an Executive Assistant at K1 Investment Management. She is responsible for supporting company partners, building management, and planning internal company events.

Previously, Jessica worked for the National Groundwater Association, and was a head middle school basketball coach. She received her B.S. in Allied Health, Magna Cum Laude, from Otterbein University. During her time at school, she was president of the campus organization, CRU, and regularly helped at The Physicians Free Care Clinic in downtown Columbus.

She currently volunteers at her local church youth group, and is a child sponsor through Compassion International.

Jean Kisaka

Jean is an Accounting Analyst at K1 Investment Management. She is responsible for supporting internal and external accounting processes.

Previously, Jean worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP, in the firm’s state tax group. She graduated with honors from Loyola Marymount University where she received her B.S. in Accounting. Jean is a California Certified Public Accountant.

She currently volunteers with the California Abilities Network (ICAN), an organization providing social and employment services for adults with physical and developmental disabilities.

Roy Liao

Roy Liao

Roy is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Roy also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Roy worked at Goudy Park Capital and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Roy is a graduate of the Kellogg School of Management, where he received a MBA, and of the University of California, Berkeley, where he received a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies. Roy is a CFA charterholder and a CPA.

Roy has been involved with Junior Achievement of Southern California, teaching finance programs to middle and high school students.

Neil Malik

Neil Malik

R. Neil Malik is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of K1 Investment Management. He is responsible for managing the firm’s strategy, governance and investment activities.

Previously Mr. Malik founded the growth equity practice at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors where he focused on growth equity and buyout investments. Mr. Malik also previously worked in the private equity groups of Brentwood Associates and Olympus Partners where he focused investments on lower middle market companies. Mr. Malik started his career in the mergers and acquisitions group of J.P. Morgan Securities.

Mr. Malik is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, where he received an MBA, and of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a BS in Finance from the Wharton School and a BAS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the school of Engineering and Applied Sciences, magna cum laude.

Mr. Malik is actively involved in the professional development of K1’s team and the management teams of K1’s portfolio companies. Since 2000, he has overseen over 120 completed transactions and serves on the boards of numerous K1 companies.

Mr. Malik is an alumnus and board member for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) and a member of Young Presidents Organization.

George Mansour

George Mansour

George is a Principal at K1 Investment Management and Co-Leads the Execution Team. He is responsible for legal execution and financing of investments and is an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies and advisor to K1’s management teams.

Previously, Mr. Mansour co-founded and lead PNC Banks Software Lending Practice focused exclusively on financing sponsor backed growth and buyout Enterprise Software businesses across the US, UK and Canada. Mr. Mansour started his career at Wells Fargo Capital Finance in its Technology Finance Division received his BS in Finance and MBA from Western Washington University and the Bordeaux Business School.

Jonathan Mathew

Jonathan Mathew

Jonathan is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Jonathan also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Jonathan worked for Guggenheim Securities in their Industrials M&A Investment Banking Group. Jonathan received his B.S. in Finance, Magna Cum Laude, from the Smeal School of Business at Pennsylvania State University. Jonathan was actively involved on campus, where he had board positions in the Penn State Asset Management Group and Penn State Finance Society.

Jonathan has been a volunteer for the Princeton Medical Center in Princeton, New Jersey and Rajagiri College of Social Sciences in Kerala, India.

Kelly Moran

Previously Kelly managed software procurement for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center as an Air Force officer. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California where she received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Business Finance. While at USC she was named Air Force Engineer of the Year and volunteered at the School of Social Work.

Jared Moberg

Jared is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. He also supports current portfolio companies.

Jared is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received a B.A in Economics, Magna Cum Laude. While at USC he was named Discovery Scholar for his work analyzing agglomeration externalities.

He has volunteered through organizations at Phi Theta Kappa and the Ronald McDonald House.

Phuong Ninh

Previously, Phuong worked for Accenture Consulting in their Technology group, and at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in their Leveraged Finance group. Phuong received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Magna Cum Laude, from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Strength Sports Club.

Michael Pasquale

Michael is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Michael also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Michael worked at Deloitte Corporate Finance, LLC. where he was a member of the investment banking team.  Michael received his B.B.A in Finance, cum laude, with a minor in accounting from Loyola Marymount University where he was a member of the Student Investment Fund.

Michael has been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and the Los Angeles Mission.

Shane Penner

Previously, Shane worked at Kayne Anderson, City National Bank, and S&P Global Ratings in Warsaw, Poland. Shane received his B.B.A in Finance and B.S. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Loyola Marymount University.
Shane was involved in various organizations on campus, including Finance Society (V.P.), Accounting Society, LMU D1 Soccer team, LMU Club Soccer, and the Student Investment Fund.

Shane is a member of the Rotary Club of Westchester, an organization dedicated to community service.

Ryan Potter

Ryan Potter

Ryan is responsible for deal structuring, negotiation, financing, legal due diligence, and execution of growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software companies. He also provides ongoing support to K1’s portfolio companies.

Previously, Ryan worked for a boutique business litigation firm in their mediation group and at Deloitte in their state tax controversy group. Ryan received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from Chapman University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Ryan is licensed to practice law in California.

Ryan volunteers as a career advocate through the Fulfillment Fund organization, which aims to empower underprivileged students to graduate high school and obtain a college degree.

Sam Seo

Sam Seo

Sam is responsible for managing technology infrastructure and systems at K1. Sam also evaluates new investments.

Prior to joining K1, Sam worked in managed services where he developed, implemented, and managed IT services for companies in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Sam received his BS in Electrical Engineering from New York University.

He volunteered for Engineering Without Borders and taught coding classes at Tech Kids Unlimited, a non-profit technology-based educational organization for students with special needs.

Julia Robinson

Julia Robinson

Julia is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. She focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Julia also supports current portfolio companies.

Previously, Julia worked for March Capital Partners and at Insight Global as an IT recruiter. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley where she received a B.A. in Political Economy.

While at Berkeley, she was involved in the Bay Area Environmentally Aware Consulting Network (BEACN) and the UC Berkeley Football Recruitment Office.
Julia has volunteered with Heal-the-Bay, Reading is Fundamental, and the Special Olympics.

Marli Valdes

Marli Valdes

Marli is an executive assistant at K1. Outside of managing partner calendars, she heads HR ensuring that all new hires are set up for success on their first day.

Prior to K1, Marli managed an AVEDA concept salon in San Diego. She was responsible for everything from inventory to leading the team’s philanthropic events such as the OB Beach clean-up with Surfrider.

Marli is an active volunteer with Angel City Pit Bull, a non-profit dedicated to creating a better future for pit bulls by promoting their positive image. She also fosters animals thru local rescues.

Mike Velcich

Mike Velcich is a Principal at K1 Investment Management. Mike is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. In addition, Mike is an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies and advisor to K1’s management teams.

Previously, he worked at Frontier Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities. Prior to that, Mike worked at Adams Street Partners and Kayne Anderson. Mike is a graduate of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he received an MBA, and of Stanford University, where he received a BA in History.

Henry Wang

Previously, Henry worked for Patpatia & Associates, Commerce Capital Group, and Alpha Titans. Henry received his B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a member of the student investment fund and finance club.

Henry has been a volunteer for Challenger Baseball, Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and developmental challenges.

Jordan Wappler

Jordan Wappler

Jordan is responsible for deal structuring, legal due diligence, and negotiation and execution of K1’s growth capital and buyout investments. He also provides ongoing support to K1’s portfolio companies.

Previously, Jordan worked for Kirkland & Ellis LLP in the mergers and acquisitions group and, prior to that, in operations management at McMaster-Carr.

Jordan received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and his B.A. from Stanford University with majors in History and Political Science, graduating with Academic Distinction. Jordan is licensed to practice law in California.
Jordan volunteers with the American Heart Association and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.

Nick Wittbrodt

Previously, Nick worked for PayJunction in their sales recruiting department. Nick graduated with a degree in Communication from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he played UCSB Men’s Club Volleyball and served as the Vice President of Recruitment and Expansion on the UCSB Inter-Fraternity council.

Previously, Nick has volunteered at Heal-the-Bay and supports the Special Olympics.

Molly Youngblood

Molly is responsible for directing K1’s marketing efforts and manages the process of reporting to limited partners. She focuses on building content and marketing strategy along with coordinating events.
Previously, Molly worked at LTE Media, Kellwood Company and Merrill Lynch.

She graduated with honors from Michigan State University where she received her B.A. in Marketing and a minor in International Business. During her time at school, she coached a high school lacrosse team and actively supported the Alpha Phi Foundation, dedicated to improving women’s heart health.

Simon Yu

Simon Yu

Simon is responsible for evaluating and executing new investments. He focuses on growth capital and buyout investments in enterprise software. Simon also supports current portfolio companies. Simon was previously with Goldman Sachs, where he worked in the Credit Alternatives group within the asset management division. Simon received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, summa cum laude, from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Sam Andrews is an Ops Consultant at K1 Operations. He is responsible for supporting and executing K1 Operation’s proprietary IOps initiative throughout the portfolio.

Previously, Sam interned as an analyst at Woodside Capital Partners’ London office and at Aetna, in the general management development program. Sam is a graduate of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Relations, cum laude.

Sam has volunteered with Cultural Homestay International, where he served as an assistant academic coordinator, The Ability Experience, Teaching International Relations Program (TIRP), and The Joint-Educational Project.

Sujit Banerjee

Sujit Banerjee

Sujit Banerjee is a Managing Director at K1 Operations. He is responsible for leading K1 Operations and its proprietary IOps initiative throughout the portfolio.

Previously Mr. Banerjee formed the sourcing team alongside Neil at Element Partners. Mr. Banerjee also worked in the venture capital group at Bluerun Ventures and was a management consultant at PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Mr. Banerjee began his career at Synoptics Communications where he designed networking equipment. Mr. Banerjee is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business, where he received an MBA, and of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he received a BS in Electrical Engineering with Eta Kappa Nu academic honors.

Mr. Banerjee has served as a director and founder of numerous technology companies and currently serves on the Wharton Graduate Executive Board as well as the Rensselaer Silicon Valley Executive Council.

Sammy received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate from San Diego State University.

During her time in college she volunteered with Girls on the Run, a non-profit organization that empowers young girls to be confident and healthy. Sammy was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels America in her hometown.

Patrick Earhart

Patrick is responsible for analyzing and reporting the portfolio’s financial results, in addition to carrying out special projects across the portfolio.

Previously, Patrick was with GEICO, where he worked as an FP&A Analyst focusing on IT consulting and cloud services. Prior to that, Patrick was a Portfolio Monitoring Analyst at US Bank, analyzing corporate clients’ financial results for credit underwriting teams across the enterprise. Patrick is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his B.A. in Peace, War, and Defense; he received his Master of Science in Finance (MSF) from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Patrick has been a lead volunteer for Feeding Children Everywhere, an organization focused on providing healthy meals to people in need.

Previously, Doreen worked as a secondary school English teacher in Spain. Doreen received a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature at UCLA.

Doreen has volunteered for Wags & Walks, an organization that promotes and saves as many shelter dogs as possible.

Dan Ghammachi is a Managing Director at K1 Operations. He leads reporting and accounting diligence for new investments and is an active board member for K1’s portfolio companies and advisor to K1’s management teams.

Previously, Mr. Ghammachi was CEO of Media Solutions Holdings where he focused on growth and operating efficiency. Mr. Ghammachi previously worked at Aerosoles where he focused on cash management and risk management and International Commerce Exchange Systems where he supported over two dozen business units. Mr. Ghammachi also held the position of Director of Finance at Applied Printing Technology. Mr. Ghammachi is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he received an MBA, and of Montclair State University, where he received a BS in Accounting.

Mr. Ghammachi has served as a director of numerous companies and as a member of the Small Business Investor Alliance (SBIA) Board of Governors, an organization of private investment funds and investors providing vital capital to small- and medium-sized businesses nationwide.

Todd Lietha is a Practice Director at K1 Operations. He is responsible for leading Product and Development initiatives throughout the portfolio.

Previously, Todd was the Senior Vice President of Product Development at Core Security. He was also an Executive Consultant at Providence Partners and Associates and Vice President of Product Development at Mitratech. Todd received his BS in Management Information Systems from Michigan Technological University and completed his post-grad in Operations Research and Systems Analysis at the US Army Logistics College.

Joanne received a BA in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego.

Joanne has volunteered with The Giving Spirit to provide meals and resources for the homeless. Joanne has also partnered K1 with FoodFinders, which allocates and distributes meals to missions, shelters and social service agencies.

Neal Sainani

Neal Sainani is a Practice Director at K1 Operations. Within K1’s portfolio, he is responsible for providing leadership on product strategy initiatives, including pricing, product growth and integrations. Neal also leads the due diligence process from the K1 Ops team on investments.

Previously, Neal was Chief Product Officer at OnPoint. He was also VP of Product at Internet Brands, a KKR portfolio company. Neal received his BS in Computer Science from UCLA.

Neal and his wife are fundraisers and supporters of No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit focused on ending childhood hunger in America.

Pete Winningham leads Executive Recruiting for K1, where he is responsible for leading executive recruiting across the portfolio, which includes C-level executives, board advisors, and senior leadership roles inside of K1 portfolio companies.

Previously, Pete spent 10 years in the technology recruitment space including 3 years at Heidrick and Struggles as part of the company’s Global Software Practice. Pete received a BA in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Pete is an active member of The River Church in Palos Verdes and has been an active supporter of Child Hope International, an organization that seeks to provide orphan care in Haiti.

Dave leads reporting and finance best practices across the K1 portfolio, partnering with CFOs and finance teams to help them meet the needs of their rapidly growing business.

Previously, Dave was a Managing Director at Deloitte, where he was CFO and COO of various recurring revenue subsidiary businesses and a co-founder of their internal venture accelerator. Prior to that, Dave led finance strategy and finance transformation initiatives for Deloitte Consulting at a number of CPG, healthcare and PE backed companies. Earlier in his career, Dave was a Senior Finance Manager at Barclays Bank and Snr financial analyst at Ford Motor Company
